Nigerian international, Taiwo Awoniyi has been nominated for the August Premier League Player of the Month award.
The Nigerian has started the season strongly, scoring three goals in three Premier League appearances in August before assisting Anthony Elanga in Saturday’s 1-0 away win against Chelsea.
Awoniyi started the season by coming off the bench to score a late consolation against Arsenal, then scored three minutes into Forest’s 2-1 home triumph over Sheffield United.
The striker also scored early in Forest’s dramatic loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford, as last season’s top goalscorer tries to repeat as the club’s top scorer this season.
