A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South West region and a prominent figure in Oyo State politics, Alhaji AbdulYekeen Ademola Santos, has passed away.
The news was confirmed by the Chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide.
Olajide, who serves as the representative for Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, made this announcement through a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha.
In his statement, Olajide emphasized the significant loss felt by the PDP members in Oyo State.
“Santos was a devoted and selfless leader who dedicated his life to the service of humanity, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape of Oyo State, whose contributions to the development of the state and the PDP will be deeply missed,” he said.
He continued, “Santos was as a pillar of strength and a shining example of dedication and commitment to the PDP, whose demise serves as a reminder of the transience of life and the importance of cherishing the memories and legacies of our loved ones.”
