Super Falcons arrived Praia on Saturday night ahead of their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against Cape Verde.
The team’s arrival was announced on their official X, formerly handle.
“We safely landed in Praia, Cape Verde this evening, ahead of our second leg tie on December 5,” reads the statement.
The Super Falcons humbled Cape Verde 5-0 in the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Thursday.
In the 5-0 win, Uchenna Kanu and Esther Okoronwko scored a brace each.
Tenerife forward, Gift Monday scored the other goal.
The nine-time African champion will engage the Cape Verdeans in the second leg battle of the 2024 WAFCON qualifier at the Estadio Nacional de Capo Verde, Praia on Tuesday.
Justine Madugu’s side will look to do the double over their opponent and secure a place at the 2024 WAFCON finals which will be hosted by Morocco.
