Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has stated the readiness to face Cote D’ivoire in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
Osayi-Samuel made this disclosure while speaking with journalists.
The defender who is in contention to feature in his first major final for the Super Eagles, explained that irbis very hard for teams to break down Jose Peseiro’s men.
Asked if he is ready for the AFCON final after Nigeria defeated South Africa on Wednesday, Osayi-Samuel told reporters: “Of course we are ready, this is what we have been waiting for.
“Every game we have been playing, we are growing and growing and it is very hard for teams to break us down.
“That is the main thing. If you can be very good in defense, then if you look at our strikers, our wingers, we are going to of course score.”
Osayi-Samuel has been given minutes in all the matches played by the Super Eagles at the 2023 AFCON except the quarter-final win against Angola.
