President Bola Tinubu has approved two billion naira as palliative for the Federal Capital Territory.
According to Channels, this was disclosed by the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike when he met with contractors in his office after the maiden Federal Executive Council.
The minister stated that the $2 billion fund will largely address the transit issue while confirming that it has been approved as a palliative for residents of the FCT.
He said that while the Federal Government is seeking to enhance project financing, the FCT Administration will also take into account its own resources.
He said that contractors had better have a good explanation for any mistakes they made.
To help ease the blow of removing the fuel subsidy, the federal government allocated billions of naira to the 36 states and the FCT.
