Capital Luxury Transit in Akwa Ibom State has just declared a reduction of 25% in transport fares for all routes nationwide.
The was conveyed in a formal statement issued by the chairman of the group, Mr. Edidiong Udoidiong, and subsequently provided to our correspondent in Uyo on Sunday.
Udoidiong (2023) revealed that the initiation of the reduction occurred on June 15, 2023. The elimination of gasoline subsidies has had repercussions on other industries, notably transportation, as acknowledged by the speaker who stated, “We possess a deep understanding of the consequences this has on our esteemed clientele.”
The statement reads in part “The recent removal of fuel subsidies has undeniably affected various sectors, including transportation, and we are keenly aware of the impact this has on our valued customers
“In the light of the prevailing economic challenges facing our great nation, Capital Luxury Transit, a trailblazer in luxury road transportation, has taken a bold step towards mitigating the burden on our esteemed passengers.
“We are excited to announce a nationwide fare reduction of up to 25% which commenced since June15 2023(two months and
ongoing) Understanding the financial strains faced by individuals and families”.
