A yet-to-be-identified soldier has slammed the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for arresting his colleagues who violated traffic rules in Lagos.
The soldier in a viral video obtained by our correspondent showed moments when the solder criticized Sanwo-Olu for arresting a soldier, while also stating that the governor cannot try such in the North East.
He said,”Did I just hear your Governor calling a lance soldier useless”.
While he continued his speech in pidgin, he added,”Let’s assume say na North East the governor dey, shey him go chase soldier arrest, dem no born the governor well for here to carry him hand, lock soldier for guard room.
“Even the governor constituted nuisance, putting citizens life at risk by chasing soldier on the road, my senior fit put me for guard room but no governor get the right to put me for guard room”.
PUNCH METRO on Tuesday reported that Sanwo-Olu, ordered the arrest of the soldier and three other motorcyclists for taking one way at the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
In the clip obtained by PUNCH METRO, the governor ordered the officers to put one of the motorcyclists who claimed to be a soldier into the vehicle, stating that he was going to lock him up.
He said, “Put him there; let your father come and rescue you. You’re telling me you are a soldier; that is the reason I’m going to lock you up, useless boy.”
