A magistrate court in Ibadan on Monday, ordered the remand of a popular skit maker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity guy.
Punch Metro had earlier reported that the skit maker was invited by the police, following an allegation that he sexualized a minor in one of his viral skit videos.
Meanwhile, The Nigerian Police had earlier called for the arrest of the skit maker, after a video of his dangerous pranks went viral. The call was confirmed by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer.
However, following his interrogation by the Oyo State Police Command, Trinity guy confessed to have seek an approval from the parents of the minor, before embarking on the video shoot.
It was however revealed in a statement released by the Oyo State Police Command on Friday, that the skit maker and the parent of the little girl featured in the viral video were questioned by the command, and were scheduled to appear before the court on Monday June 26, 2023.
However, after listening to the case and the plea by Oludare Adebayo, the counsel to the skit maker, who was brought to the court by the police on Monday, the presiding Magistrate, P.O Adetuyibi, denied the bail application by the defence counsel, noting that the allegation against the him is currently under the scrutiny of the Oyo State Ministry of Justice.
