Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, delivered a masterclass performance as Atalanta crushed Verona 6-1 in an electrifying Serie A matchup at home on Saturday.
Lookman was unstoppable, scoring twice and providing two assists, a showing that earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match.

The action kicked off in the 6th minute, when Marten de Roon unleashed a powerful shot that ricocheted off the right post and into the net, giving Atalanta an early 1-0 lead.
Not long after, in the 9th minute, Mateo Retegui doubled the score, capitalizing on a rebound to fire a clinical shot that nestled into the left post, putting Verona on the back foot at 2-0.
Lookman had his first sight on goal in the 14th minute, but Verona’s goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo was alert and made an impressive save, denying the Nigerian forward his first.

Verona managed to pull one back in the 42nd minute when Amin Sarr launched a powerful effort from outside the box, finding the net with precision to make it 5-1.
However, this was merely a temporary lift for Verona as Atalanta maintained their momentum.
In the 58th minute, Retegui added another goal to seal the game at 6-1, scoring his second and marking an emphatic win for Atalanta.
