The head coach of the Super Egles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro, has said the friendly game against Saudi Arabia will be a tough game.
The two teams face each other on Friday in Portugal.
It is the second time the Super Eagles will take on the Arab nation, following a goalless draw in a 2010 friendly.
The three-time Asian champions shocked Argentina 2-1 at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and Peseiro, who coached them between 2000 and 2011 is wary.
“Saudi was the last team to beat Argentina so I expect a hard match and also a good match for our team and we will start on the front foot against them.
“We want to beat Saudi Arabia and Mozambique so as to prepare well for the first two games of the World Cup qualifiers because Nigeria must play the next World Cup,” Peseiro said in his press conference on Thursday.
