The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said the solution to the Jakande road in the state is coming and there would be demolitions, setback and others to have a permanent solution on the axis.
Sanwo-Olu said this during his address at the Monarch’s event centre for the Eti Osa Local Government stakeholders engagement on Sunday.
He said, “You know how we’ve done the first roundabout, the second roundabout, the third roundabo…we are coming.”
“You can see that Lekki Phase 1 to the left, there’s no traffic again, it’s a permanent solution that we did there.
“So, we know that that Jakande own is a lot, but it’s going to take a lot of setback and demolition. We saw it that we re not solving that problem well.
“You know, my consultants have done a design for us to…but we don’t want to put too many something in the fire at once…”
He also laid credence to the construction of the Regional road which is currently ongoing as an alternative route for dwellers within the Jakande axis, which is a six-lane road.
