Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday reopened the portion of Apogbon bridge that was razed by fire.
Punch Metro reported that the bridge was closed in March last year after the unfortunate fire that destroyed parts of the bridge.
The governor said it is no longer business as usual for roadside traders to transact business under the bridge as anyone caught will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
He said “This is a major infrastructure that we cannot allow anything to happen to it again.
“We are using this to warn again that there cannot be any form of trading, there cannot be any form of activity under this bridge or under any other bridge.
“These are important assets, important infrastructures that we cannot fold our arms and allow few people destroy them. The effect of these destruction cost the entire city couple of months.
“It is zero tolerance, we cannot put any form of market under the bridges.”
