The transfer of Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze to Milan is nearing completion.
Negotiations between Milan and Villarreal have been successful, and Chukwueze has arrived in Italy for his medical examination on Wednesday.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the agreement is nearly completed, with only minor administrative matters left to be resolved in the coming hours.
Milan is poised to officially announce the acquisition of Chukwueze, making him their seventh signing of the summer.
He will be the fifth player for whom the club has paid a transfer fee out of the seven. The initial payment amounts to €20 million, followed by an additional €8 million in bonuses.
Chukwueze will sign a five-year contract with the Serie A team, with a salary of €4 million each season, after passing his medical on Wednesday.
Chukwueze’s contract with Villarreal was set to end this season, which provided additional incentive to quickly finalise the agreement.
After the necessary paperwork is finalised for Chukwueze, he will travel to the United States of America to join Stefano Pioli’s squad for their pre-season tour.
