Al-Nassr new signing, Cristiano Ronaldo, has expressed his gladness to be back on the pitch and score sheet for the first time since leaving Manchester United in December.
The Portugal Talisman made his debut appearance on Thursday, as Saudi Arabia’s all-stars came up against Paris Saint Germain in a friendly.
With two goals, the 37-year-old showed that he still had it in him, even though the all-stars were beaten 5-4 in what was a thriller of a match.
After the game, Ronaldo shared a picture of him with Lionel Messi on twitter, with a caption that suggested he was happy to have faced a long-time friend and seven-time Ballon d’Or winner possibly for the last time on the football pitch.
He wrote, “So happy to be back on the pitch, and on the score sheet!! And nice to see some old friends.”
In the same vein, Messi, who was also on the score sheet, shared the embrace with Cristiano on his Instagram page as a show of mutual respect between the two legends.
