Popular Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, better known as Reekado Banks, has lost his mother.
The singer took to Instagram to announce the death of his mother, Dorcas Olubunmi Solomon, on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old did not disclose the cause of her death, but he did ask for prayers for his family.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, confidant and friend. Dorcas Olubunmi Solomon is survived by her husband, sisters, children and grandchildren.
“We implore the general public to keep us in prayers at this difficult time. The Solomon Family”, he wrote.
Some of his friends, colleagues and other entertainers took to the comment section of his post to console him.
