Barcelona initially led 2-1 at half-time but Girona’s three second-half goals secured Real’s lead in the league with four matches remaining.
England’s Jude Bellingham played a crucial role, scoring 18 goals in 26 La Liga games. Bellingham celebrated the victory on social media, becoming the fifth Englishman to win La Liga.
Real Madrid have lost only one league game this season and could finish with 99 points, their second-highest ever. Ancelotti now has two La Liga titles as Real coach.
Real Madrid, with 36 titles, have nine more than Barcelona. They face Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final second leg.
