The Kano State Government, on Wednesday, inaugurated a committee for the forthcoming 2024 Ramadan Feeding Programme.
According to The PUNCH, this was contained in a press statement by the Deputy Governor’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Shuaibu, on Wednesday.
The Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo inaugurated the committee in his office.
He said, “The objective of the programme is to assist all residents of the state, irrespective of political affiliations to benefit from the incumbent government’s largesse.”
The deputy governor, who urged the committee to strategise the distribution of foodstuffs across designated areas in the state, stressed the importance of completing their task within five days.
“The breakfast menu is recommended for the targeted Muslim Ummah during the Ramadan, as well as individuals or groups deserving of government’s goodwill, as Ramadan gesture.”
