Power outages experienced across various regions on Monday evening have begun to ease, with some areas under the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company franchise reporting restored electricity.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, neighborhoods such as Deidei, Suleja, Lugbe, and Kuje saw their power restored around 5:15 am on Tuesday.
The AEDC had previously informed customers about the disruption, which stemmed from a collapse of the national grid.
In a statement posted on its X handle on Monday, the company confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 6:58 pm.
“Be rest assured that we are working with relevant stakeholders to restore power as soon as the grid stabilises,” the AEDC assured its customers.
The company’s efforts to collaborate with stakeholders highlight its commitment to addressing the ongoing power supply challenges faced by residents in its service areas.
