The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that the medical examination results of a 17-year-old girl allegedly raped by a police officer have been received and handed over to the police for further investigation.
The officer, who is currently in custody, allegedly committed the crime at the Area H Command in Ogudu.
According to The PUNCH, the police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development.
He assured that the investigation is ongoing and there will be no cover-up.
He said, “The test result. It has been handed over to the police and the investigation has continued.”
Hundeyin who did not disclose the outcome of the test added, “There will be another update in no distant time.”
The victim had alleged that she was raped inside the Ogudu Police Station in the Ojota area of the state.
