The Lagos State Police Command on Monday arrested a robber who attacked a student and dispossessed him of his valuables.
The suspect was arrested by the command’s Police Rapid Response Squad.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on Tuesday in a statement released on Twitter.
According to him, the victim arrived Lagos by midnight from Abuja and was on his way home when he was attacked by two assailants.
He said while the police arrested one of the two robbers, the other assailant was still on the run.
The statement read, “It was 1:02am. A student just arrived Ojota from Abuja and was trekking home nearby. This 22-year old man and one other, still at large, attacked and dispossessed him of all his valuables.
“Thanks to the eagle-eyed RRS patrol officers around the scene. Both attackers were pursued, this one arrested. Efforts ongoing to arrest the other.”
