A swift response by a patrol team from the Igando Division of the Lagos State Police Command has led to the arrest of a tricycle thief, Samson Cletus, and the rescue of an unconscious tricycle rider.
According to the command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin on his X handle, the patrol team received a tip-off about suspicious activities around a tricycle on Celestial Road and quickly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found the tricycle rider unconscious and arrested Samson Cletus, who was attempting to make away with the stolen tricycle.
The rider is currently receiving treatment in a hospital and is reported to be responding well.
He wrote, “Thank you Lagosians for prompt information.
“Upon receiving information about suspicious activities around a tricycle, a patrol team from Igando Division raced to the scene on Celestial Road and found the tricycle rider unconscious, while Samson Cletus was arrested trying to make away with the tricycle.
“Rider is responding to treatment in a hospital.
“Meanwhile, efforts are on to arrest other syndicate members who fled upon sighting the police.”
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate who fled the scene upon sighting the police.
