Nigerian music stars, Tems and Burna Boy, were on Monday evening present at the Red carpet of the Met Gala.
Their participation makes them the first Nigerian artistes to attend the prestigious international event.
Burna Boy turned up in a custom Burberry fit and Tems turned up in a Robert Wun dress that featured the work of Tems’ stylist, Dunsin Wright and fashion researcher, Kim Russell.
Often highlighted as “fashion’s biggest night out,” the Met Gala 2023 is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The 2023 Met Gala theme was themed ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ to honor Karl Lagerfeld, who was a regular attendee at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.
