World renowned couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, have reportedly purchased a brand new 30,000-square-foot home in the prime area of Malibu, California, USA for a whooping $200 million.
This purchase makes the Brutalist Malibu mega-mansion the most expensive home ever sold in the entire state. It is fashioned from raw concrete and has breathtaking ocean views.
The couple — who also own a mansion in the swanky Bel Air neighborhood — took the record from their new neighbor, venture capitalist, Marc Andreessen, who bought his home next door for a staggering $177 million in 2021.
According to TMZ, the $200 million home is also the second most expensive real estate deal in the entire country — the top being $238 million for a New York City apartment.
While $200 million may seem a lot, according to the report, the couple actually got an unbelievable deal as the home was quietly listed for a whopping $295 million.
The house sits on an 8-acre bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove area, AKA Billionaires’ Row.
It’s also an architectural jewel, designed by a Japanese master architect, Tadao Ando, who is also designing the house Kanye West bought in Malibu.
The house was owned and built by William Bell, one of the biggest art collectors in the world. It took Bell almost 15 years to build the magnificent all-concrete structure.
