The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has appointed the General Overseer and founder of Christian Central Chapel International, City of Testimonies, Archbishop Emmah Isong, as the National Vice President for the South-South zone.
A letter dated March 27, 2025, and signed by PFN’s National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, formally conveyed the appointment.
The letter, which was seen by our Correspondent on Saturday, mandates Archbishop Isong to oversee the PFN leadership and activities in six states within the region.
The letter stated, “It gives me great pleasure to announce your appointment as National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, South South Zone.”
Under his new role, Isong will supervise PFN chairpersons and their executives across Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states.
He is expected to ensure that the fellowship’s mission and vision remain on course within these states.
His responsibilities, as outlined in the letter, include overseeing the mobilization, execution, and successful implementation of the 8th National Executive Council’s Cardinal Agenda across state chapters under his leadership.
Additionally, he is tasked with strengthening PFN’s membership base by reaching out to Pentecostals who are not yet actively involved in the fellowship.
Furthermore, he will supervise the appointment and election processes for state executive councils in collaboration with their respective State Advisory Councils.
The letter also emphasized his role in the inauguration of state executives, stating, “In conjunction with the National States’ Inauguration Committee shall supervise and as well represent the National President, inaugurate each State Executives-Elect, in your zone.”
Reacting to the appointment, Archbishop Isong expressed gratitude to the PFN National President, as well as the National Advisory Council and National Executive Council, for the recognition. He pledged to carry out his duties with dedication.
Before this elevation, Isong served as the immediate past National Publicity Secretary and spokesperson of PFN.
He had also previously led the Cross River State chapter of the fellowship as its chairman.
