A tanker laden with petroleum products has exploded in Abuja on Tuesday.
The explosion cause no small pandemonium in the central area of Abuja as it affected properties around where it was offloading.
According to an eyewitness, the tanker was discharging petroleum product at the headquarters of the National Library of Nigeria located adjacent National Mosque at about 2:50PM, when the explosion happened and the tanker went up in flames.
The Sun reported that Firefighters from both the Federal Fire Service and FCT Fire Service are fighting to put off the fire.
As at the time of filing this report, no life has been reported lost.
