The Jollof war between Nigeria and Ghana is currently at a stalemate after former France International, Patrick Evra, declared that the Nigerian Jollof is better than that of Ghana.
This came about a month after the former Senegalese-born footballer rated the Ghanaian Jollof over that of Nigeria during a previous visit to the neighbouring West African country.
After getting a second taste of the Nigerian Jollof, the retired Manchester United player in a viral video on his Instagram page made the assertion while listening to Mood by Wizkid and BNXN.
Evra said: “Guys, that jollof war will never end. I was in a restaurant and a big guy dropped a piece of paper on my table and left. I turned it and saw ‘don’t ever say that Ghanaian jollof is better than Nigerian jollof’. “So I feel scared and feel threatened for my life. So I’m going to give another chance to my Nigerian people, maybe I tasted the not too good one the first time.
“So let’s be fair…let’s see. That’s what I’m talking about. OMG – I’m sorry my Ghanaian brothers, this is the best. I love this game, happy Monday to all my Nigerian people.”
It would be recalled that Evra had earlier said that the Ghanaian Jollof rice was better than the Nigerian Jollof.
Nigeria and Ghana have over the years have a virtual war on which country cooks the best Jollof rice.
