A clash between traders and touts in the popular Alaba Market, Lagos State on Wednesday sent the people of the area into a state of panic.
Unconfirmed reports alleged that the traders kicked against the unnecessary demand for money by the touts also known as “Agberos” in the area.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development and added that order has been restored in the area.
“Alaba International Market is calm. Normalcy has been restored. @rrslagos767and men of Ojo Division are on the ground, under the supervision of Area Commander Festac, ACP Igbafe Afegbai. There is no cause for alarm as monitoring continues,” Hundeyin tweeted.
