The Oyo State Police Command has disclosed that it arrested suspected kidnappers terrorising Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
The spokesman of the command, Adewale Osifeso, disclosed this on Thursday.
Osifeso explained that the kidnappers were arrested while the police were trying to rescue kidnapped victims from their den.
He also said that a policeman was killed during a shootout with the kidnappers.
Items recovered from the arrested suspects include N7.5 million in cash, four AK-47 guns, 75 rounds of AK-47 live ammo, two pairs of military camouflage, and one police beret.
The suspects are Mohammadu Salfa, Usman Hassan, Muhammadu Salfa, Muhammadu Bello and Mikailu Yahaya.
