Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has declared three days of mourning in the state in solidarity with the victims of the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church Owa-luwa Street, Owo, Ondo State, on June 5.
In a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, the mourning will run from June 13 to June 15, in honour of victims of the gruesome killings in Owo.
Flags are to fly at half-mast in all public buildings and offices during the three days of mourning.
About 40 worshippers were shot dead on June 5 at the church by some gunmen alleged to be elements of the outlawed Islamic State West Africa Province.
