Oshoala wins CAF women award for record sixth time

Super Falcon striker, Asisat Oshoala has been crowned 2023 CAF Women’s ‘Player of the Year.’

The 28-year-old was announced the winner of the gong in the gala held in Marakesh, Morrocco, on Monday.

She defeated South Africa’s Thembi Kgatlana and Zambian Barbara Banda, to win the much coveted award.

This is her sixth time of winning the award having previously won the award in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022.

Also, Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie won the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
