Super Falcons duo, Asisat Oshoala and Chiamaka Nnadozie, have been included in the final 10 nominees for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.
According to CAF, who made the announcement on Monday, the award is scheduled to occur in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 11, 2023.
Previously, CAF disclosed the complete nominee roster for the award, featuring players like Nnadozie, Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade, Osinachi Ohale, Toni Payne, and Christy Ucheibe.
In 2022, Oshoala secured the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award for the fifth time, triumphing over Zambia’s Grace Chanda and Cameroon’s Ajara Nchout Njoya.
Moreover, the Super Falcons’ head coach, Randy Waldrum, earned recognition as the Coach of the Year, while Deborah Abiodun and Esther Ajakaye emerged as finalists for the Best Young Player of the Year.
The Super Falcons team itself also made the cut as a finalist for the Women’s National Team of the Year award.
