A tragic incident occurred at the female hostel of the Federal University, Gashua, in Yobe State, resulting in the loss of a three-hundred-level student from the Department of Geography.
Mohammed Goje, the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the unfortunate event to Channels Television.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out around 1 pm on Saturday, prompting a chaotic evacuation as students fled to safety.
