Benco gave this commendation during the presentation at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, state capital, appreciating him for being sensitive and responsive to the plight of workers in the state.
The NLC chairman, who spoke on behalf of the two unions, noted that the governor is a man who is bound by his words and genuinely committed to the plight of workers.
Benco said, “We are extremely grateful to our governor for being a man who is faithful to his words and being a worker-friendly governor. We were actually not expecting these at this time, but I think the governor’s word is his bond.
“We are indeed grateful to him and convinced of his commitment to welfare and well-being of workers as well as people of the state.”
The NLC chairman then pledged that workers will do anything in their capacity to support the Abiodun-led administration towards the optimal fulfilment of its ‘Building Our Future Together’ mantra.
While speaking at the event, the Governor stressed that the presentation was in fulfilment of his promise to give the two unions brand-new buses for their day-to-day activities.
