Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has assured residents in Abeokuta South Local Government Area that the ongoing construction of the Ijeja-Igbore bridge, connecting two key communities, will be completed and fully functional by the end of November.
According to The PUNCH, during a site visit on Friday to inspect the bridge’s progress, Governor Abiodun committed to not only completing the bridge but also to initiating rehabilitation on the entire Ijeja-Igbore road.
“I spoke with the contractor regarding the completion timeline, and I was assured that the bridge will be ready by next month,” he stated.
“After the bridge is completed, we’ll ensure the contractor is mobilized to begin work on the road reconstruction.”
Governor Abiodun expressed appreciation to local residents for their patience throughout the construction period and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to projects that enhance the quality of life in Ogun State.
