The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has approved the recruitment of 500 additional personnel into the Ogun State Security Network Agency, known as the Amotekun Corps, to strengthen security efforts across the state.
The State Commander of the Corps, Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (retd.) announced the development in a statement on Saturday, emphasizing the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
“The governor’s approval for this recruitment comes just two months after the passing out parade of 690 newly trained Amotekun operatives,” Adedigba stated.
“This reflects the unwavering dedication of the state government to bolstering security measures for all residents.”
According to him, interested applicants can submit their applications free of charge via the official website ogunstateamotekun.com.ng. The recruitment window opens on Monday, March 10, 2025, and will close on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Adedigba further revealed that a screening exercise for shortlisted candidates would be conducted from Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to Thursday, May 1, 2025. He urged applicants to prepare adequately and follow all provided guidelines throughout the selection process.
“This recruitment initiative represents a crucial step in enhancing the operational capacity of the Amotekun Corps,” he noted. “We encourage all eligible individuals to take advantage of this opportunity and contribute to building a safer community.”
