Residents of some communities in Ogun State have lamented as flood destroyed properties worth millions.
This came as an aftermath of the rain which started on Friday and lasted till Saturday.
Recounting his loss, an indigene of Ilaro, Gbenga Ekunola, said he had presented the matter to the Senator Representing Ogun West, Olamilekan Adeola.
“Senator Adeola immediately called his team to go to the said spot to assess the situation for immediate intervention,” he added.
Communities affected by the flood included Gbogidi, Double Crown, and Odo Fufu among others
Some students of the Federal Polytechnic and residents of Ilaro, Ogun State were also affected by the flood.
According to Daily Post, those affected by the flood were seen draining water out of their houses on Sunday.
This has crumbled economic activities in the area as even tenants have contemplated relocating to safer places.
Also, a bridge in the area was said to have collapsed, leaving a vehicle trapped inside the canal.
