The leadership of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Anambra State has paid a condolence visit to the family of Stanley Anikpe, who tragically lost his life when a two-storey building collapsed at Ekeoyibo Market in Amawbia, located within the Awka South Local Government Area.
According to The PUNCH, a delegation led by the NSCDC state commandant, Olatunde Maku, on Tuesday, visited the grieving family.
Anikpe had been buying commodities at the market on Thursday when the building, which was under construction, collapsed, claiming his life and the lives of three other victims, while trapping several others.
“The visit is in response to the tragic demise of Anikpe, who lost his life in the collapse of a two-storey building under construction at Ekeoyibo market, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday, 4th July 2024,” Maku stated.
