Prominent Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has been conferred a Chieftaincy title of, ‘Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” in Ghana.
According to The PUNCH, the actor was conferred with the title by Her Royal Highness, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu.
The coronation was said to have taken place alongside the occasion of the tenth Yam Festival.
According to Ihenetu, Iyke was honoured for his contributions to the Igbo community and the African Entertainment Industry.
A number of Nigerian celebrities including music star D’banj, actor, Alex Ekubo and reality TV star, Teddy A, were conferred with chieftaincy titles in 2018.
