The management of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, has disclosed that it has no plan to increase the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit otherwise known as petrol.
NNPCL made this clarification via a statement on X, formerly Twitter handle, following fears that the pump price of PMS might increase
The company has also urged Nigerians to continue buying fuel at the most affordable price.
“Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated,” NNPCL stated.
“Please, buy the best quality products at the most affordable prices at our NNPC Retail Stations nationwide.”
In another development, on the sidelines of activities at the ongoing ADIPEC Exhibition and Conference, NNPCL expressed its readiness to chart a sustainable energy future, declaring before the global stage that it is ready for business.
The company’s Executive Vice President, Upstream, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan diclosed this while speaking with energy specialist and conference moderator, Eithne Treanor, during a fireside chat.
“Nigeria, we are ready for business. NNPC Ltd., we are ready for business. We are looking for partners who will come and join us in this energy revolution,” Eyesan said.
“Indeed, we are set for business. We have three principles for our survival: profitability, energy transition, and sustainability drive,” she declared.
