Veteran actor, Nkem Owoh, better known by his stage name as Osuofia, has finally broken silence for the first time since the death of his second daughter, Kosisochukwu
The deceased, aged 24 was reportedly to passed on after a brief illness on June 28, 2023.
Her remains have since been laid to rest on Thursday, August 24, at Amagu village, Udi, Enugu state.
Reports revealed that as at the time the news of Kosisochukwu’s death surfaced on the internet earlier in the month, neither the Enugu-born actor nor any of his representatives responded to calls to confirm the story.
While speaking several days later, Osuofia expressed his gratitude to all and sundry for the love and support shown to his family during their moments of grief.
He described the death of his beloved child as an acute loss which he never anticipated.
Nkem Owoh wrote, “I want to thank you all for the support and love shown to me and my family. When tragedy strikes, there is nothing more heartening than knowing that you’re not alone
“It was with deep gratitude that I received your note, calls with condolences. We have seen many changes over the years. But this is a change I did not anticipate, and I am feeling an acute sense of loss.
“However, I know that because of your encouragement I will get through this time. Thank you for helping to push me through my grief.”
