Nigerian content creator Munachimso Brian Nwana, 22, has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most fast-food restaurants visited in 24 hours.
Nwana achieved this remarkable feat by visiting 150 different fast-food establishments, surpassing the previous record of 100 visits set by Canadian YouTuber Eric Decker, known as Airrack.
Guinness World Records confirmed Nwana’s accomplishment on their official X.com page on Wednesday.
The record-breaking journey took place entirely on foot, covering over 25 kilometers (15 miles) from Chicken Republic in Gwarinpa to Kilimanjaro in Abuja’s city center.
Nwana’s endeavor began at 5 p.m. and concluded 24 hours later, with a brief nine-hour sleep break from midnight to 9 a.m.
To qualify for the record, he had to purchase and consume at least one item at each restaurant, with 75% of the orders being food.
Nwana noted that he ate “probably enough to last a week” during the challenge and made a point to taste something from most of the locations, even if it was just a small bite. The rest of the food was shared among his team and members of the public.
Reflecting on his achievement, Nwana stated, “This record goes to show that the Nigerian food space is worth paying attention to. I would like to encourage people from around the world to come and explore the Nigerian food space.”
