Nigeria has occupied third position after Morocco and Senegal who secured first and second spots respectively in the top teams in Africa.
This was revealed in the latest FIFA ranking release on its website on Wednesday.
The north African teams, Egypt and Tunisia secured fourth and fifth positions.
Algeria who crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations in the group stage on Tuesday, January 23, after a shock defeat against Mauritania are ranked sixth in the list.
