Newcastle have qualified for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years.
The Eddie Howe led team achieved this feat after finishing fourth in the Premier League with one game remaining.
The Magpies needed just a point against relegation-threatened Leicester City on Monday night to keep Liverpool ahead of them in the table, and they got it with a 0-0 draw at St James’ Park.
Newcastle’s last appearance in Europe’s top table was in 2003, making Eddie Howe the club’s first manager since Sir Bobby Robson to lead the Magpies to Champions League qualification.
The final match for Newcastle is against Chelsea, while Manchester United faces Fulham.
The results of both games will determine who finishes third and fourth, as well as whether Manchester United or Liverpool will join Newcastle, champion Manchester City, and Arsenal in next season’s Champions League.
