Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, has expressed regret after his mistake led to Real Madrid’s equalizer in their 2-1 defeat in the Champions League semi-final second leg.
Alphonso Davies had given the Bundesliga giants the lead in the second half.
However, Neuer fumbled Vinicius Jr’s weak effort, allowing Joselu to score and make it 1-1.
Joselu then converted Antonio Rudiger’s cross to ensure Real qualified for the final, where they will face Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking to DAZN, Neuer said, “Anyone who’s ever played football knows how I’m feeling right now.
“That we’ve been knocked out in the closing stages, having led 1-0 until the 88th minute, it’s extremely bitter.
“We’d taken one step to London, we saw ourselves in the final and now I’m lost for words.”
