Guitar legend, Carlos Santana, left fans scared at the Pine Knob Music Festival in Detroit on Tuesday after collapsing while performing.
According to UK Sun, The 74-year-old apparently suffered from heat exhaustion and dehydration, coming a year after he had heart surgery.
Santan was said to be singing ‘Joy’ before collapsing, forcing the music to stop suddenly.
A statement released late on Tuesday by Santana’s team revealed that the rock legend was “overtaken by heat exhaustion and dehydration during a concert Tuesday evening in Michigan.
“Carlos was taken to the emergency department at McLaren Clarkston for observation and is doing well.”
Santana also shared a message to his fans saying, “To one and all,” he wrote, “thank you for your precious prayers.
“Cindy and I, we are good just taking it easy. Forgot to eat and drink water so I dehydrated and passed out.
“Blessings and miracles to you all.”
Santana’s next show, scheduled for July 6 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, has been postponed with more details to follow.
