MultiChoice, the parent company of DStv and GOtv, has announced an upward review of its subscription prices, set to take effect from March 1, 2025.
In a statement issued to customers on Monday, the company cited economic challenges, including currency depreciation and rising operational costs, as reasons for the adjustment.
The revised pricing structure will see the DStv Compact bouquet increase from ₦15,700 to ₦19,000, while Compact Plus will rise to ₦30,000.
The Premium package will also see an increment, moving from ₦37,000 to ₦44,500.
GOtv users will also experience changes in subscription costs. The GOtv Jinja package, previously ₦3,600, will now be ₦3,900, while GOtv Plus subscribers will pay ₦5,800, up from ₦4,850.
The GOtv Max package will increase to ₦8,500, while the Supa and Supa Plus packages will now cost ₦11,400 and ₦16,800, respectively.
MultiChoice defended the price adjustments, stating that they were necessary to maintain the delivery of high-quality local and international content using advanced technology. The company last reviewed its prices nearly a year ago.
