Dozens of British women have reportedly experienced significant breast enlargement following Covid vaccinations, MailOnline has discovered.
This revelation comes just days after images surfaced of a Canadian teenager whose breast size quadrupled—a reaction experts have attributed to Pfizer’s Covid vaccine, informally dubbed the “Pfizer boob job.”
Data from the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency Yellow Card system reveals 33 cases of ‘breast enlargement’ linked to Pfizer’s vaccine.
Similar reactions were reported by 11 women following AstraZeneca’s jab and four women after receiving Moderna’s vaccine.
These reports, based solely on patient testimony, remain unverified by medical professionals.
Experts caution that such changes could be coincidental, unrelated to the vaccine. However, some doctors argue the connection is plausible.
A recent medical case detailed in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery—Global Open described a 19-year-old Canadian whose breast size surged from a B cup to a triple G cup within six months of receiving two Pfizer doses.
The young woman, who got her first dose in September 2022, reported tingling and minor growth in her breasts, which intensified following her second dose.
This rare condition, known as gigantomastia, involves rapid breast enlargement.
While its causes remain uncertain, some cases have been linked to hormonal imbalances or drug reactions.
Doctors in this case suggested the vaccine might have triggered pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia,, a rare condition where breast tissue cells grow excessively, forming benign lumps.
PASH has been documented fewer than 200 times and, until now, had no known association with vaccines.
The Canadian woman’s scans revealed slightly swollen lymph nodes and dense blood vessels in her breasts, consistent with PASH.
Despite undergoing treatment with steroids and antibiotics, her breast size did not reduce.
Ultimately, she opted for breast reduction surgery to downsize her bust to a DD cup 11 months after the second dose. Due to asymmetry, she underwent a second procedure five months later to return to her original B cup size.
Doctors emphasized the need for further investigation into this potential link, stating, “The association between the COVID-19 vaccine, PASH, and breast hypertrophy warrants further investigation to comprehend the spectrum of reactions to the vaccine.”
They criticized the dismissal of the patient’s concerns, noting, “Although a temporal relationship does not establish causality, dismissing patient concerns can erode trust. Physicians should consider and value patient concerns when developing therapeutic relationships.”
Studies, including one by the University of Pennsylvania in 2021, have previously identified a link between Covid vaccines and swollen lymph nodes under the armpit.
This reaction could lead to abnormal mammogram results, prompting British health officials to advise clinicians to investigate such findings as potential breast cancer symptoms, regardless of a possible vaccine connection.
Monitoring systems like MHRA’s Yellow Card are designed to track potential side effects, providing an early warning if specific patterns emerge.
However, concerns remain about the system’s proactive capabilities in identifying unusual vaccine reactions.
