The Niger State Police Command has confirmed that a lady, identified as Amina Muktar, who was declared missing has been found.
According to The PUNCH, the police had declared Muktar, a resident of Bosso Estate in Minna, in the state missing on Monday and enjoined members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
A police source that was contacted on Wednesday disclosed that Muktar was found in an orphanage and she has been reunited with her family.
The source explained that it was not a case of a missing person but she had a misunderstanding with her family members and decided to take refuge in an orphanage.
“Amina Muktar has been found. We found her in an orphanage where she went to take refuge.
“She told us that she had a misunderstanding with her family members and so she left the house and decided to take refuge in the orphanage,” the police source said.
When contacted, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed that Muktar had been found in a Minna orphanage
“I want to confirm that Amina Muktar has been found in a Minna orphanage. We thank all for their concern,” he said.
