Kylian Mbappe has reportedly demanded a €100m, £85m/$107m, payout from Paris Saint-Germain, irrespective of his transfer to Real Madrid.
French outlet L’Equipe revealed that PSG has withheld Mbappe’s wages for April and May and plans to do the same for June.
With his contract set to expire on June 30, the unresolved issue amounts to a significant sum owed to the 25-year-old forward.
Tensions between Mbappe and PSG have been high since he declined to extend his contract at the start of the 2023/24 season.
This decision initially led to his exclusion from the first team, though he was later reinstated.
Now, he is expected to leave PSG on a free transfer, heading to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
When approached for comment by L’Equipe, PSG acknowledged that ‘negotiations are continuing’ to settle the matter.
Meanwhile, Mbappe is currently on international duty with France at Euro 2024.
He assisted in their lone goal in the opening match against Austria but missed the subsequent 0-0 draw with the Netherlands due to a broken nose.
