Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed, on Monday received five kidnapped girls who were earlier rescued from terrorists.
According to Channels, the rescued girls were presented to Matawalle by the Assitant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 10, Bello Sani Deljan, along with the State Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf.
The governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Digital and New Media said in a press release that the five girls had been held captive for the past seven months.
The statement said that it took the combined efforts of the Police and other security agents, along with help from the State Security Council, to finally get the girls, who are in high school, out of danger.
